Onboarding: First Things

Congratulations on being selected to work at the University of Montevallo! The application and interview processes can be very competitive so reaching this milestone should be celebrated.

The information on this page will assist you with making final preparations before beginning work.

  • Follow the instructions found in the Forms section below.
  • After all of your employment forms are completed turn them in to the Office of Student Employment.  (Call or email the Office of Student Employment for an appointment.)
  • Make sure you have in your possession the original Identification Documents described in the instructions for completing the I-9 form. Copies of these documents cannot be accepted.

After your meeting in the Office of Student Employment, you will receive authorization to begin work. DO NOT begin work until you receive authorization from the Office of Student Employment.

To determine the correct forms that are required for onboarding, please answer the question below.

Are you a non-resident military spouse?
If no, then you will need to present the following:
1.W4 Federal Withholding Certificate   
2.A4 State Withholding Certificate
3.Direct Deposit
4.I-9*
5.Confidentiality Agreement
If yes, you will need to present the following:
1.W4 Federal Withholding Certificate
2.Nonresident Military Spouse Withholding Tax Exemption Certificate
3.Direct Deposit
4.I-9*
5.Confidentiality Agreement
